Getting Ready for Spring Break

Tomorrow is the start of spring break
I finally get some time together with baby Daisy, no more babysitting for a while so i don't have to worry about her. We are going to Disneyland in two days, cant wait for all the enjoyment with my daughter. Hopefully i don't accidentally leave her at home that would be a tragedy. It would make my life so much easier if i just left her, i mean it would be terrible.....(cough cough).
Anyways spring break will be fun.

My First Day As a Parent

If This Really Happened: I was surprised to find that when i asked my parents how they would act if i got someone pregnant that they would actually be very supportive. They told me that whatever poor choice i make they would still support and help me. All they said was that it will hurt my own chances in life since i will have to take care of another life.

People's Responses: When i told my mother about this project, she went crazy. I guess since she has dealt with a lot of kids she really wanted to help out on this project. Also it was really strange today when teachers today would say things like, "awww, so cute. Let me hold her." or other things like that. I didn't know people would be so serious about this project.

If I Could Start This Project Again: I would definitely have chosen a different face for my baby. But now that it is too late she is mine and i accept her for who she is. I also would get a different carrier for my baby since the basket i have is very cumbersome.

Costs of My Baby: I was very surprised about the cost of my baby; the total cost was about $30,000 for the first year, making me know that i do not want a baby want now. Of course there are many agencies that can help, but still it is a lot.

Daisy's First Day: For any new parents out there i have a word of warning for you. If you get handed down equipment, like a baby carrier make sure that it works before putting your baby in it. This morning Daisy had a rude awakening when I almost dropped her because of a faulty seat. The weight was off balanced so Daisy almost took a tumble. My current holder is working just fine now though and the rest of her day has been great at school. And later today Daisy will be at her babysitters for a couple hours while i go to class. It sucks that i have to leave her but it gives her a chance to experience different environments.
